Genie in the Lamp Costume
Although this look is fairly minimal, so to speak, there are sure to be tons of laughs when you walk in wearing this knee slapping tummy aching ensemble. The Genie in the Lamp Costume consists of a rich bright green open vest that you wear without anything underneath. It is lined in shiny gold and has small gold details at the bottom corners of each side. As if the color weren’t striking enough to get people’s attention, the huge gold lamp around your waist should be more than enough to do the trick.
The handle of this wrap around is at the back and the spout is in the front. There is grey sheer fabric sticking out to give the illusion of magic smoke. The punch line lies in words “Rub Me” written right before the spout.
Matching gold wrist cuffs are a nice addition to the whole ensemble. Then top it all off with a matching genie type of hat of the same green hue also with gold details running along the rim. A gold tassel falls playfully from the very center.
With this Aladdin Costume, you may not be able to grant three wishes, but you will certainly be able to give people a couple of laughs
A little bit on the man in the lamp
Because of famous cartoons such as Aladdin, the term “Genie” has been defined by some magical being coming out of a lamp to grant three wishes. Although that is what is popularly believed, that does not make it ever so true.
If you take a deeper look into these Arabian legends, you will find out that there are other kinds of genies- ones that you won’t want to rub out of their lamps. They don’t grant wishes. They are merely governed by earth, fire, air, and water elements. Some are even scary. Ever wonder where the term ghoul came from? Ghoul was derived from the word “ghul” which was a kind of genie.
But with this Genie in the Lamp Costume, you won’t any. No wishes, no elements, and there definitely will be no frightening either. You will, however, bring life to any dull party by simply walking in.
