Genie May K. Wish Costume

So this Halloween, be a dream come true with this Aladdin Costume.  For this jaw dropping Arabian inspired ensemble, think chiffon, chiffon, chiffon.  Speaking of dropping, you get the choice to drop the lower half of the midriff chiffon top and “bare” it all, or you can leave it zipped on and leave more to the imagination.   It is hot pink or this hot look.  But to add detail, the top is lined in gold with a shiny bow right in the middle and the whole thing is sprinkled with gold stars all over- not that you need them to shine, that is.

For the lower half, you have chiffon harem pants of the same color.  The upper part is also lined in gold and has a sash with gold stars connected to it that flows right down to the knees.  There are gold beaded tassels hanging from the waist area as well.

Then, to top it all off, put on the hot pink pill box hat that is embellished with gold stars as well.  The veil that droops from it is perfect to add a little mystery to the whole Genie May K. Wish Costume.

Genies in General

When it comes to these magical beings, there are actually many kinds.  However, due to famous cartoon shows, such as Disney’s Aladdin, the most well known kind is the one that grants three wishes when you rub his magic lamp.  This is not just the most popular kind, but it is also the best one as the others are a far cry from Al’s blue pal.

If you really look into the legends, genies were not all that good to begin with and they didn’t grant wishes at all.  In fact, they were rather frightening.  Where do you think the English word “ghoul” comes from?  It is actually derived from the word “ghul” which is one kind of genie that no one really knows about.
